Cynthia Woods brings more than 15 years of successful Point-to-Point training experience to Green Hedges Farm, with over 35 winners across Point-to-Points and Hunter Chases. An accomplished rider, Cynthia rode 47 winners and earned the Area Leading Lady Jockey title seven times before retiring from the saddle to focus on training. Her yard has also received the South East Area Leading Yard Award. Cynthia’s horsemanship is complemented by her experience as an Equine Veterinary Nurse at the Royal Veterinary College. During that time, she spent a year working with Professor Roger Smith, an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in equine tendon injuries, gaining valuable knowledge that continues to inform her approach to care and training. Based in the picturesque High Weald, Green Hedges Farm benefits from undulating countryside that supports fitness and conditioning. Cynthia’s philosophy centres on happy, relaxed horses, with individual training programmes and careful attention to each horse’s welfare. Owners are a valued part of life at Green Hedges. From mornings on the gallops to the excitement of race day, Cynthia offers a personal ownership experience, sharing the journey as each horse develops.
