A modest, early-mid 20th century country bungalow with a symmetrical, slightly rounded front facade. The exterior is finished in roughcast (pebbledash), which gives that textured, weathered look typical of older rural houses.
The centered entrance - with its arched surround and decorative glass-panel door- acts as a focal point, flanked by two bay windows on either side. Those bays add a bit of character and depth, even though the overall structure is simple and practical. The lower hipped roof and chimney suggest a solid, traditional build.
The house is being sold with a large garden to the rear, along with a commercial unit that used to be the local post office in Gortahork. Grants are currently available up to €70,000 to do up the house.
