Balmoral warm up for Sheep Shearers

The final preparations are under way for the 146th Royal Ulster Agricultural Society Show. Its Irelands largest food show with the event running from the 14th May to to the 16th May, being held for the 2nd time at the Balmoral Park. Last years show at the new site attracted around 500+ trade stands.

The main attractions include the traditional showing of livestock as well as sheep shearing, the garden village, activity zone for children, the children’s farm and much much more. 

Most popular attraction has got to be The Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motorbike display, they will perform death defying tricks twice daily in the main arena, while a freestyle mountain bike team will entertain the crowd each day in the activity zone.

The admission charges have increased this year with the cost for adults paying on the door £18 but £15 with pre booked tickets. Car parking is £7 per vehicle, it is advised to use public transport were possible in an attempt to reduce the traffic chaos caused last year. Officials have confirmed better traffic management systems have been put in place this year to ease the congestion around the site.
