Livestock helped to attract visitors from across the Westcountry and further afield at this year's Holsworthy and Stratton Agriculture Show last Thursday. Local competitors James and Christopher Neale from Boyton, near Launceston in Cornwall,  scooped the Overall Beef Champion category with their Limousin heifer Nealford Honey, in addition to winning the Overall Beef Pairs Champion with Nealford Impeccable and Nealford Honey.

The overall dairy champion was won by another local competitor, Stuart Ley from Sutcombe near Holsworthy in Devon, who also won the Holstein category. There were prizes on offer for junior competitors, including Young Handler (won by Thomas Nancekivell) and Junior Showman Dairy (won by William Neale) .

Crowds were entertained by attractions such as alpacas, tractors, ferret racing and a working gun dog demonstration. There were also workshops for flower displays, in addition to the wide number of stalls on offer.
