Preparations for the 85th Limerick Show in full swing

Posted 20/08/2014

This year’s Limerick Show promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Livestock will be one of the main attractions – with competitors vying for prizes in a range of categories including pedigree dairy and pedigree beef sections. There are also prizes on offer for young handlers as well.

There are a range of other competitors for visitors to enjoy, including those for horses, goats, pigs, sheep, horticulture and arts/crafts. No country show would, of course, be complete without a Bonnie Baby and Best Dressed Lady competition.

Other attractions include a dog show, show jumping horses and ponies, a hot shoeing demonstration and traditional Irish music. Visitors can browse arts and crafts from the many stalls on offer, or sample some delicious local cuisine.

The show takes place at the racecourse, Patrickswell, Co. Limerick, on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August.
