A brand new pedigree calf show is to be held at this year’s English Winter Fair on November 15th and 16th. Sponsored by Cogent Breeding Limited, there will be classes for breeds including British Blue, British Simmental, British Charolais, British Limousin, and for the Native Breed Class. A prize of £1000 will be given for the overall champion, with £500 awarded to the reserve champion.
In addition to this, there will be classes for junior and senior heifers and junior and senior bulls; the winners from these categories will be put forward for the Inter-Breed Championships.
The two day event will have a range of events for visitors to enjoy, including live lamb judging, pig championships and trade stands to browse.
